Your books are not done.

You know this. You've known it for a while.

Maybe you connected your accounts somewhere and told yourself that counted. Maybe you have a spreadsheet you haven't opened since February. Maybe you've been meaning to hire someone but you're not sure you're ready for that conversation yet.

Meanwhile, every month that passes is another month of records that need to be sorted, categorized, and reconciled. Another month of not quite knowing where you stand.

It's not that you don't care. It's that this part of running a business was never supposed to be yours to carry alone.

Calm Books Circle takes it off your plate.

The honest math of what you're buying

Keeping your books current takes me a fraction of the time it takes you, because I've spent 34 years learning what to look at and what it means. You're not paying for the time it takes. You're paying for the 34 years that make it take so little.

That's why this costs $225 a month instead of a salary. And it's why the work comes back to you as something you can actually use, instead of a pile of categorized transactions you still have to interpret alone.

One page, every month, that tells you the truth

Every Calm Books Circle member gets a private client hub. A page on the web that's yours alone, not listed anywhere, not searchable, just yours.

In the first week of each month, after I've closed your previous month, your Monthly Report lands there. One page, in plain language: what happened, what it means, and one question worth sitting with. Not a spreadsheet export. Not a report written the way accountants talk to each other. A page written for how you think.

Behind that page: every transaction categorized, every account reconciled, anything odd looked at by a person who knows what odd looks like. The report is short because the work underneath it is thorough.

Any day of the month you wonder where things stand, the answer is one bookmark away.

Here's what changes when your books are handled:

You stop avoiding your finances because you stop fearing what you'll find. When someone else is keeping your records current and accurate, looking at your numbers stops feeling like an accusation and starts feeling like information.

You make better decisions. Not from your gut and your checking balance, but from clean, reliable data that actually reflects your business.

Tax season stops being a scramble. Your records are organized, reconciled, and ready, because they've been that way all year.

And the quiet weight of "I really need to deal with my books" lifts. Because they're being dealt with. Every single month.

What's inside Calm Books Circle

What's inside Calm Books Circle

Your bookkeeping in Kick, handled monthly. I set up your Kick account, connect your accounts, and maintain your books every month. Transactions categorized, accounts reconciled, records ready when you need them. Your Kick subscription is included, so it's one less thing to manage.

Your private client hub and Monthly Report. Your own page, updated every month with a plain-language report on your business. What happened, what it means, and one question worth sitting with. This is where your numbers live in a language that doesn't require translation.

Clarity Hours, monthly open-door office hours. Once a month, I open the door. Bring your bookkeeping questions, your "what does this mean?" moments, your "is this normal?" concerns. No agenda required. Just access to someone who knows your books and can help you make sense of them.

Your CBC client channel in Journey Pathway. A clients-only space for the questions that come up between reports, plus the whole Journey Pathway community around it: Progress Circles, other owners building the same kind of clarity, and conversations you don't have to perform in.

The Reading Room and the full learning library. Short videos explaining what your financial statements mean and what to look for. Every course, template, and resource in the CEO Business Balance library. Use what you need, when you need it. Or don't. Your books get handled either way.

What happens after you join

Joining takes two steps, and both are calm.

First, you complete a short form. Your name, your business, where your books live today. Two minutes, no essay questions.

Then your engagement letter arrives by email from Financial Cents, my practice management system. That's the official start: you sign, set up simple ACH billing, and you're in. Watch for the sender name Financial Cents so it doesn't slip past you.

On the day you're signed, a welcome email arrives with your private hub link. Real onboarding, not a "we'll be in touch." In your first week you'll connect your business accounts through a secure, read-only bank connection, and I'll set up your books in Kick. You'll know your first report month before your first report exists.

Then the rhythm takes over. Your part of it is reading one page a month and answering the occasional question only you can answer. That's the whole job.

This is right for you if:

Your business finances are straightforward and you want them handled reliably, without complexity or drama. You don't need forecasting, multi-entity accounting, or CFO-level strategy. You need clean, current, accurate books, and someone who knows what they're looking at.

You're tired of bookkeeping being the thing that follows you everywhere and gets done by no one.

You want to understand your numbers without having to become an accountant to do it.

You're ready to let someone take this off your plate, and stay off it.

If you want more than handled

Calm Books Circle and Momentum Maintain do the same bookkeeping. The difference isn't access. It's attention.

In Calm Books Circle, my attention goes to your books, and your questions have a home in Clarity Hours and the client channel. In Momentum Maintain, my attention extends to you: a private thread with me, closer advisory, and monthly notes that connect your numbers to the decisions in front of you.

If you read that and felt something in you say "that one," trust it. If you're not sure, start here. Upgrading later is seamless, and your books won't miss a month either way.

What Calm Books Circle does not include

Financial coaching or mentoring. Tax filing or tax advice. Forecasting or projections. Complex multi-entity structures. Strategic planning sessions.

When a tax, entity, or legal question comes up, I'll point you to the right professional, and with your permission I'm glad to speak with your tax professional directly. When a decision question is on your mind, a Sit-Down gives it real attention on your actual numbers. You'll always know where your question belongs.

A note from Stacy

Hi, I'm Stacy Luft, founder of CEO Business Balance.

After over 30 years in financial operations, and years teaching bookkeeping fundamentals at Hofstra University, I've seen what happens when capable business owners don't have someone keeping their financial foundation steady. Not because they're careless. Because no one ever set it up for them properly, and doing it alone was never sustainable.

Calm Books Circle exists because I believe your books should be handled, your numbers should be legible, and you should have a place to ask your questions without feeling like you're bothering anyone.

In my world, being a CEO means being a Calm, Empowered Owner. Of your business, your numbers, and your decisions.

Let's make that real for you

Questions About Calm Books Circle

What is Calm Books Circle and who is it for?

Calm Books Circle is monthly bookkeeping for service-based solopreneurs who want their finances handled without complexity or drama. Your books are kept current and accurate in Kick every month, and your plain-language Monthly Report lands in your private client hub. You also get Clarity Hours, your CBC client channel in Journey Pathway, Progress Circles, The Reading Room, and the full learning library.

How does joining work?

Two steps. You complete a short form on this page, and your engagement letter arrives by email from Financial Cents, my practice management system. Sign it, set up ACH billing, and onboarding starts the same day: welcome email, private hub, and a clear first week. No sales call required. If your situation turns out to be more complex than this program serves, I'll tell you honestly before anything is signed and point you to what would actually fit.

How does billing work?

Billing runs through Financial Cents by simple ACH bank transfer, the same way it does for all of my service clients. No credit card surcharges built into your price, no third-party checkout. $225 a month, cancel anytime.

Do I need a call before joining?

No. Calm Books Circle is built so you can join directly from this page and be onboarded this week. If you'd rather talk it through first, I'm glad to.

What is included in the $225 per month investment?

Kick setup and monthly bookkeeping with the subscription covered, transaction categorization, account reconciliation, your private client hub with a plain-language Monthly Report, monthly Clarity Hours, your CBC client channel in Journey Pathway, Progress Circles, The Reading Room, and the full learning library and tools.

What is the Monthly Report and where does it live?

Your Monthly Report is a one-page, plain-language summary of your business, delivered to your private client hub in the first week of each month after I close your books. It covers what happened, what it means, and one question worth sitting with. Your hub is a private page on the web that only you have the link to.

What happens right after I join?

Your engagement letter arrives from Financial Cents, usually within one business day. Once you've signed, a welcome email arrives with your private hub link and exactly what to expect. In your first week you'll connect your accounts through a secure, read-only connection and I'll set up your books in Kick. Your first Monthly Report lands the month after your books are current.

What bookkeeping platform does Calm Books Circle use?

Calm Books Circle uses Kick, a platform designed specifically for small businesses that simplifies bookkeeping and reduces long-term friction. Your Kick subscription is included in your monthly investment. You do not manage the subscription separately or pay for it on top of your service fee.

Do I need to already be using Kick?

No. If you are coming from another platform or starting fresh, I will guide you through onboarding as part of getting started. Kick handles migrations, so the process is straightforward. Most clients are set up and running quickly.

What are Clarity Hours?

Clarity Hours is a monthly open-door session exclusively for Calm Books Circle members. Bring your bookkeeping questions, your what-does-this-mean moments, or anything you want to understand about your numbers. No agenda required. No pressure to show up with something prepared. It is simply a space to get answers from someone who knows your books. Clarity Hours is not coaching or financial mentorship. If you are ready for that layer, Momentum Maintain may be a better fit.

What are Progress Circles?

Progress Circles is a monthly live gathering open to both Journey Pathway and Calm Books Circle members. It is a gentle space to reflect on what is unfolding, share what is shifting, and be met exactly where you are. No performance required. Some months you will share. Some months you will simply listen. Both are completely valid.

What is The Reading Room?

The Reading Room is an asynchronous resource available to everyone in the CEO Business Balance community, including Calm Books Circle members. It is a growing library of short videos explaining what financial statements mean, how to read them, and what to look for in your numbers. General questions are answered in chat or video replies. This is where the language lives, at your pace, on your schedule.

Does Calm Books Circle include tax preparation or filing?

No. Calm Books Circle maintains clean, accurate records throughout the year, which makes tax time significantly easier for you or your tax professional. Tax filing and tax advice are not included. If you need a trusted tax professional, I am happy to make a recommendation.

What if my finances turn out to be more complex than expected?

We will have a conversation. If what you need falls outside the scope of Calm Books Circle, I will tell you clearly and honestly and point you toward whatever would actually serve you better. Fit matters more than the sale.

Can I upgrade to Momentum Maintain later?

Yes. When you're ready for my attention on you and not only your books, meaning a private thread, closer advisory, and monthly notes that connect numbers to decisions, Momentum Maintain is the natural next step, and the transition doesn't interrupt your books for a single month.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No minimum commitment. If your needs change or this no longer serves you, you can cancel at any time. If you leave, you are always welcome to return at the current rate.

Your books can be handled. Your numbers can make sense. You don't have to figure this out alone.
