About the founding rate. Founding members stay at $50 for as long as they stay members. Being early in a small room is worth something real: your questions shape what I teach next, and there's room for me to remember your specifics between sessions. That gets harder as the room fills.

You don't need to have it all figured out before you start.

You don't need clean books, a perfect system, or a number you feel good about. You just need a place to begin, with people who understand where you're starting from and a guide who has walked alongside solopreneurs through exactly this.

Built specifically for service-based solopreneurs, coaches, consultants, wellness practitioners, attorneys, writers and creatives. Journey is that place.

Time with me The recordings, whenever you want them. Three hours a month, live: the workshop with Q&A, the Progress Circle, and the Working Session.

This is for you if

You know your finances matter and you're not sure where to start. You've been meaning to get clearer on your numbers but haven't found the right space. You want to learn without being judged for where you're beginning. You're not ready to hand your books to someone else yet, but you're ready to stop avoiding them.

You don't have to be ready. You just have to be willing to begin.

What Journey is not

It's not done-for-you bookkeeping. It's not one-on-one coaching. It's not a course you buy and forget.

It's a steady place to understand your business finances, with real teaching, real company, and resources that keep showing up whether you engage every week or once a month.

When you're ready for your books to be handled, Calm Books Circle is here. But there's no pressure and no timeline. Journey is a place you can stay for as long as it serves you.

A note from Stacy

Hi, I'm Stacy Luft, founder of CEO Business Balance.

I've been working in financial operations since 1992, and teaching bookkeeping fundamentals at Hofstra University since 2018. Somewhere in there I learned something that surprises a lot of people: the barrier to financial clarity is almost never intelligence or effort. It's access. Access to plain-language teaching. Access to someone who'll answer your questions without making you feel behind. Access to a room where you belong, exactly as you are.

Journey is my way of making sure that barrier doesn't exist for you. Everything I teach is free, and it stays free. Every workshop I've given is sitting in the library right now, and nobody has to pay me to learn from it.

What the Circle adds is me, in the room, while you're working it out. That's a different thing from teaching, and it's the part I can only give to a small number of people at once.

"In my world, being a CEO means being a Calm, Empowered Owner, of your business, your numbers, and your decisions."

Questions About Journey

Is Journey Pathway really free?

Yes. No credit card, no trial period that converts to a charge, no hidden fee waiting around the corner. The full workshop library, The Reading Room and the community are yours at no cost, for as long as you want them. Journey Pathway is free because access to financial education shouldn't be locked behind a paywall, and that hasn't changed.

So what's the difference between Journey Pathway and Journey Circle?

Pathway is the teaching. Circle is the room. Every workshop I've taught is recorded and free to watch whenever you like, and that's Pathway. Circle is where the workshop happens live with your questions in it, plus the Progress Circle, a Working Session, and the worksheets that take each topic into your own business. Three live hours a month with me, and the materials that go with them.

Why are the live sessions the paid part?

Because a recording explains an idea and a live hour is me working on your business with you. The first one costs me nothing to give to a thousand people. The second one is my actual time, and there's a limit to how much of it exists. Keeping the teaching free and charging for the room is the only version of this that stays honest in both directions.

What's the founding rate, and what happens if the price changes?

Founding members pay $50 a month and stay at $50 for as long as they stay members. The rate after the founding period is $100 a month. If you join now and stay, a later increase doesn't reach you.

Do I have to attend the live sessions to get value from the Circle?

No, and plenty of months you won't. Every live workshop is recorded, and Circle members get the worksheets whether they showed up or not. That said, the live hour is the thing you're paying for, so if a month goes by where you couldn't make any of the three, it's worth asking yourself whether Pathway is the better fit for that season. I'd rather tell you that than take $50 for a room you're not in.

What is The Reading Room?

A growing library of short videos teaching you how to read your financial statements, what your numbers actually mean, and what to look for as your business grows. It's asynchronous, so you use it on your schedule with no live attendance required. This is where the language of your business finances lives, and it's part of the free tier.

What is the Progress Circle?

A monthly live session for Journey Circle members. You bring what you're working on, or what you're stuck on, and we talk it through with other owners in the room. There's no agenda and no pressure to report wins. Some months you'll have something specific to work out. Some months you'll listen. Both are useful.

I'm a Calm Books Circle client. Is Journey Circle part of that?

They're separate. Calm Books Circle is your bookkeeping, handled every month, with a written answer to any message within one business day and your own client channel. Journey Circle is the learning room, and joining it is a separate choice. If you're already a Calm Books Circle client, nothing you currently have has changed.

Do I need any financial knowledge to start?

None. Journey is built for service-based solopreneurs starting from wherever they are, including the beginning. The workshops are taught in plain language and The Reading Room explains concepts without accounting jargon. You don't need to know what a reconciliation is or how to read a profit and loss statement before you walk in. That's exactly what you'll learn.
