Financial Clarity and Practice for Solopreneurs Ready to Change Their Relationship with Money

You’re not just running a business. You’re shaping your life. And that change starts with your relationship with money.

Most solopreneurs never planned on being their own finance department. You became a coach, consultant, wellness practitioner, writer, or strategist because you wanted to help people and share your work with the world. But somewhere along the way, the money side crept in — and it started to feel heavy.

Confusing spreadsheets. Fluctuating income. Tax-time dread. That constant sense of “I should really have this figured out by now.”

I’ve heard it all — and I’ve seen what it does. Brilliant solopreneurs stall their growth not because they lack talent, but because money feels stressful, messy, and overwhelming.

I believe it doesn’t have to be this way.

Who I Am

I’m Stacy Luft, founder of CEO Business Balance. For more than 30 years I’ve worked across the full spectrum of financial operations — from Finance Manager at a $35 million company with 6,000 B2B customers, to leading the financial review team through 7 company acquisitions in 5 years, to serving as CFO for a sign manufacturer whose clients included Starbucks and Papa John’s.

I’ve built financial systems for companies at every stage. I’ve sat in the rooms where the numbers determined everything. And somewhere along the way, I started working with solopreneurs — and realized this was where I was most needed.

Because here’s what all of that experience taught me: the financial principles that protect a $35 million company are the same ones that protect a $150K coaching practice. The scale is different. The stakes feel just as real.

And solopreneurs deserve someone who understands both.

I also teach foundational bookkeeping as a CE Lecturer at Hofstra University — because I believe that when practitioners are well-trained and solopreneurs have real support, everyone in the system gets better outcomes.

That’s why I created CEO Business Balance. And here, CEO means:

Calm, Empowered Owner — of your business, your numbers, and your decisions.

What I Believe

Money clarity isn’t about restriction. It’s about safety, choice, and freedom.

It’s not about “getting it perfect.” It’s about practicing calm, clear habits—one small, steady step at a time.

And it’s not about shame. If you’ve been avoiding your numbers, you’re not alone. You don’t need rescuing. You need a safe space to learn, to ask questions, and to try again without judgment.

My Framework: The Sovereign Three™

Everything I teach and every service I offer is built around three interconnected practices:

Know Your Numbers

Gentle visibility without shame. You can’t lead what you can’t see — and seeing clearly doesn’t have to feel threatening.

Claim Your Rhythm

Systems that match your energy, not someone else’s structure. Sustainable money habits are built around how you actually work, not how you think you should.

Hold Your Shape

Aligned pricing, boundaries, and policies that protect your time, your peace, and your worth. When your structure holds, your finances follow.

Why This Matters

When solopreneurs avoid their numbers, the costs pile up:

  • Missed opportunities
  • Hesitation on decisions
  • Stress that leaks into every part of life

But when they face their money with clarity, the shift is profound. Clients tell me they finally sleep better. They stop second-guessing themselves. They pay themselves consistently. They make aligned choices with confidence.

One Journey member went from avoiding her bank account for months to checking in weekly without panic. A Momentum client scaled from working alone to leading a team—without losing track of her finances.

The transformation isn’t just in their spreadsheets. It’s in how they feel: calm, capable, and confident.

What I Offer

I guide solopreneurs along two clear paths:

Journey

A financial clarity membership for solopreneurs who are ready to build a real relationship with their numbers. With a growing library of guided learning, monthly live workshops, and a supportive community, Journey is where you practice calm, clear money habits — without shame, without overwhelm, at a pace that honors your life.

•      Journey Pathway — Free. A gentle starting point with workshop replays, community access, and select guides.

•      Journey Circle — $99/month. The full system: live workshops, complete guided learning library, integration circles, quarterly planning, templates, and tools.

Momentum

A bookkeeping and advisory partnership for solopreneurs who want expert financial support without losing connection to their numbers. Momentum provides accurate, consistent bookkeeping, plain-language financial reports, and varying levels of mentorship and strategic guidance.

•      Calm Books — $225/month. Reliable bookkeeping with monthly confirmation.

•      Momentum Maintain — $450/month. Everything in Calm Books, scaled for higher revenue.

•      Momentum Core — $700/month. Adds a monthly 45-minute call, financial reflection, and quarterly planning.

•      Momentum Align — $1,100/month. Two monthly calls, customized money management, and deeper strategic support.

Some solopreneurs start in Journey, then grow into Momentum. Others come directly into Momentum when DIY bookkeeping has become too heavy. Both paths are designed to meet you where you are.

A Note for Bookkeepers and Accounting Professionals

Alongside my work with solopreneurs, I offer foundational bookkeeping training for accounting professionals through Debits on the Left, Credits on the Right — a program built to develop real-world bookkeeping fluency, not just procedural familiarity.

I also teach foundational bookkeeping as a CE Lecturer at Hofstra University.

The vision connecting both sides of my work: when bookkeepers are well-trained and solopreneurs have real financial support, everyone in the system gets better outcomes than they would have without it.
